The Christian Conscience
The Christian Conscience is an article that appeared nearly every week, on the Faith page, of the well known area newspaper, the Port St. Joe Star. Over the last 3 1/2 years about 180 articles were published, that answered just about a person might have,- about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Heaven, Hell, Creation, Evolution, being born from above, Divine Healing, enriching marriage, and a host of other topics.
In early December of 2011, I submitted an article, similar to the one posted on Facebook, called " My experience with Santa Claus ". It outlined my own experience where I had been deceived by my parents, and caused a division in our family. Not only did the editor neglect to publish this article,- he published a full color article on Santa Claus, on the front page of the paper. This was a continuation of the practice of deceiving the children about the Santa Claus myth, and contained many things, about the Santa Claus myth, that he and virtually everyone over the age of 6, knows is not true. Whatever happened to the notion that newspapers are supposed to print things which are truthful. Santa Claus has become an idol. It is a myth that has been perpetuated by many in America, which everyone knows is a myth, and is used to deceive children, and allow businesses to make huge profits selling various items of paper and plastic,- images of Santa Claus, without regard to the damage caused by encouraging parents to lie to their children.
I do not anticipate resuming the Christian Conscience articles.
